Workshop Description:

Gestalt therapy is a holistic, non-pathologizing approach that highlights the importance of awareness, personal responsibility, and the integration of mind, body, and emotions. This modality encourages a deeper understanding of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, fostering insight and facilitating spontaneous growth.

In this training, participants will explore key principles of Gestalt therapy, including the transformative power of ""here and now"" awareness and the dynamics of the Gestalt Contact Cycle. The program features engaging experiential exercises and supervised practice, designed to build confidence and competence in applying Gestalt techniques to individual and couples therapy sessions.

Learning Objectives:

1. Receive an introduction to the Gestalt philosophy.

2. Understand how to use the Contact Cycle to inform clinical focus and conceptualizations.

3. Identify 4 ways to bring the ""here and now"" orientation into therapy sessions.

4. Learn 2 creative interventions to use with clients.
