Lisa A. Maestri is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia and Maryland and a board-approved clinical supervisor for master’s level clinicians. She earned her BA in Psychology from Elon College in 2000 and her MSW from The Catholic University of America School of Social Work in 2002. Lisa also holds Level I and Level II Certificates in Advanced Trauma Treatment from The Ferentz Institute.

As an IMAGO-trained couples therapist, Lisa integrates relational approaches in her practice. She also values the power of movement and expressive arts, becoming a Certified JourneyDance™ Facilitator in 2014.

Before establishing her private practice in Virginia in 2008, Lisa gained extensive experience in various clinical settings, including a special education school in Washington, DC; a residential treatment center in Montgomery County; and Fairfax County Public Schools.

Lisa specializes in treating eating disorders, addictions, and complex trauma. She incorporates additional modalities such as bodywork, mindfulness, and expressive arts to help clients regulate their nervous systems. This comprehensive approach enables Lisa to partner with clients on their unique healing journeys, addressing both their individual experiences and goals.
